Ashley Young on fire as Man Utd Win

Ashley Young scores a brace as he rolls back the years for Manchester United

Man! Ashley Young has been playing like he’s in his mid-twenties the last few games for Manchester United. Determined to make an impact every time he touches the ball, he’s been a livewire. The way he has been playing has thrown shades of back to Sir Alex days and the fast attacking wingers we utilised. Between Young and Valencia, we have two wide players who love running at their man.

United made the task harder than it should’ve been

Even the gaffer said so, the second half we let our tempo slide and our finishing become sloppy. At 3-2 the game becomes nervy and Watford threatened a comeback when really we should’ve easily won the game 4/5-0. Mourinho jokes about it but Lukaku missing so many opportunities must have him worried. His comment about him needing a boot contract may even have been a dig at the big man to sharpen up his shooting boots. Maybe a couple of extra shooting practices won’t do Lukaku any harm.

Will we ever catch City?

You know, 3 weeks ago I would’ve said yes, this is the Premier League, of course, we are going to catch them! I watched them play against Huddersfield the other day; I know it’s Huddersfield but they’re a decent team, they shouldn’t have won that game, but they did. I’m not sure if they are going to lose at this point, Pep seems to have sussed out the Premier League like he has done every other league. If they do lose it may be one game, I hope that one is the one against us.
